Top exports earn Global Freight award backing again

The premier awards for small businesses have won the backing of Global Freight Services.

Telford-based Global Freight will again sponsor the Exporter of the Year awards in both the West Midlands and East Midlands regions.

Managing director Anton Gunter said: “The FSB provides a vital support network for small businesses, and the awards are a great way to celebrate the successes of its members.

“I’m delighted to be able to sponsor the exporter award in both Midlands regions again. Trading conditions might be throwing up a few challenges at the moment, but those businesses which have really grasped the nettle are thriving in the export market, and it’s great to see.

“I’m looking forward to hearing about all the fantastic small businesses which are driving Britain’s export trade.”

The West Midlands finals will be held on March 22 at the RAF Museum Midlands at Cosford, hosted by experienced MC and BBC local sports broadcaster Dave Sharpe.

Last year’s overall winner Olpro is again a finalist in the exporter category, along with Bliss of London Ltd.

Dave will also be the host at the East Midlands finals at the Leicester Marriott Hotel on March 15, when Cellomatics Biosciences Ltd, Makan Bites Ltd and Postbox Party will go head-to-head for the exporter award.
