Global Freight hand-delivers FSB award to Olpro

Managing director Anton Gunter has this week hand-delivered the FSB award for International Business of the Year to outdoor adventure company Olpro.

Olpro, which is based in Worcester, was unable to attend the national FSB finals held in Scotland on May 19 so as sponsors of the award, Global Freight Services, collected it on their behalf.

Delivering the accolade in person to Olpro’s managing director Daniel Walton, Anton said: “We have been proud once again this year to sponsor the International Business of the Year category at both the West Midlands and East Midlands finals.

“The awards are a fantastic way for businesses to demonstrate success and growth and we are delighted that the overall winner of the international trade category was a business representing one of the regions which we had sponsored.

“Olpro create exceptional outdoor leisure products from tents and awnings to windbreaks and apparel and they have a customer base which spans the globe. It’s growth and expansion has been phenomenal over a short period of time.

“It has already won numerous awards for its innovation; sustainable business practices and high-quality services and this latest accolade will be a magnificent addition to its trophy cabinet.

“It was disappointing not to have been able to celebrate with the team in Scotland, but it was an absolute honour to be able to collect this award for them from this year’s FSB hosts, which included TV presenters Clare Balding and JJ Chalmers, and we wish the entire Olpro team every success as they continue to grow their reputation and sales globally.”

Olpro fought off competition from 10 other businesses from across the UK to win the International Business of the Year title. These included:
