With so many fantastic businesses located right across the Midlands region, it’s always an absolute honour for us to sponsor the annual FSB regional awards.
We have been proud once again this year to sponsor the International Business of the Year category at both the West Midlands and East Midlands finals.
And, what a year it has been.
Not only did the award ceremonies offer an opportunity to get back to some face-to-face networking, but it was also a wonderful opportunity for us to be able to congratulate all the finalists and winners, find out more about what they do and celebrate the region’s export successes.
First up were the West Midlands awards, which were held on March 17 at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in Coventry. Here, OLPRO, a leading creator and provider of outdoor adventure products, was crowned International Business of the Year 2022 and deservedly so.
It’s knowledgeable team of experts has a deep and genuine passion for delivering high quality, outdoor gear and the company has gone from strength to strength in recent years winning a long list of awards including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2021.

Next, onto the FSB East Midlands award finals, held on April 6 at the Leicester Marriott Hotel.
Another great event and some hotly contested awards but winning the judges over to be crowned East Midlands International Business of the Year was health and wellbeing provider Global Health Tests. Huge congratulations.
Located in Northampton, the company provides a full home to lab health testing service, and it has a customer base spanning right across the globe.
Both OLPRO and Global Health Tests will now go head-to-head with all the other regional winners at the UK final to be held in Glasgow on May 19. And, yes, it does mean that our managing director Anton Gunter will be donning his kilt for the occasion!
