As a global leader in the region for export and logistics, Global Freight has welcomed the success of a new show in Shropshire aimed at opening overseas opportunities for businesses.
The Business Growth and Export Show – staged by the Marches Growth Hub – was held on November 23 at Shrewsbury Town’s stadium and our Managing Director Anton Gunter went along to find out what it was all about.
It was an opportunity for him to network with businesses across the county and beyond, showcase our work as an award-winning shipping company and tap into advice delivered by the Government’s Department for International Trade (DiT).
He also got to hear the inspirational Jo Fairley, co-founder of global chocolate brand Green & Black’s, talk about her own successes and how companies can build a global network.
Anton said: “This was a fascinating event and one which we were very proud to be an exhibitor at.
“There is a whole world of opportunity out there for businesses who wish to take their products and offerings global and this event provided expert advice on how to do this.
“We met lots of exciting businesses who are ready to take that next step and we look forward to working with some of them in the future.
“Without hesitation we would endorse the success of this event and we do hope the Marches Growth Hub, which provides advice and support to businesses, will put on a similar show again next year.”
Also exhibiting at the export event was Tim Luft, of Virtual Reality Simulation Systems.
