An award-winning Midlands/Shropshire shipping company has signed a deal with a Far East global network as it looks to grow its operations across the world.
Global Freight, an independent freight forwarder in Telford, has linked up with AerOceaNetwork (AON) which will see it increase its breadth of service worldwide.
Managing director Nicole Howarth said: “At the heart of what we do is customer service – making sure shipments get from A to B smoothly, safely and efficiently. We do this through our expertise in the UK and our network of agents around the globe.
“However, as technology and communication advances, making it easier for customers to deal with new and emerging markets, we wanted to ensure we can support them in their new ventures, giving them the same reassurance we offer now.
“Working with AerOceaNetwork, we will have agents everywhere our customers need to export and import, offering reassurance that they, and their goods, will receive the same excellent customer service offered by Global Freight in the UK and by its existing excellent network in ports and airports across the world.”
The deal is also expected to see an increase in business volume for Halesfield-based Global Freight, which will offer its services to other companies which are part of the network. AON has more than 130 member offices across the world.
Mrs Howarth added: “We have a reputation for transporting fragile goods, works of art and valuable cargo – this niche is one which we see as being a key driver for business growth within the network, with relatively few companies able to offer our level of expertise in this sector.”
Business manager at AerOceaNetwork, Daniel Bateman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Global Freight on board.
“The company is an award-winning independent freight forwarder, with 17 years of experience in assisting companies trading internationally. We’re looking forward to working with Nicole and the team.”
