With less than a week to go before our managing director Anton Gunter saddles up to participate in the Prudential RideLondon cycling event we’re pleased to share that he has raised more than £1,500 for charity.
Initially Anton was aiming to raise £700 for Breast Cancer Now in return for completing the 100-mile cycle challenge.
However, after reaching this sum in a matter of weeks, he decided to double the target to £1,400 by the time he took to the ride on August 4.
Today, the grand fundraising total stands at an amazing £1,520 with daily donations continuing to come in.
Anton said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who have donated to this very worthwhile cause. I’ve been training hard and with little over a week to go I’m starting to feel more confident about the ride.
“It has taken some time to get into the right mindset for training but the warmer weather has helped and I’ve been enjoying getting some miles in the legs with some longer distance rides.
“It will be a tough personal challenge but certainly worth it to raise vital funds for this fantastic organisation.”
Anton’s mother is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with the disease 35 years ago but after a long and painful recovery was given the all clear and continues to live a full and happy life.
