Packing and Insurance
Many goods which sustain damage sometimes happen due to goods not been adequately packed for the journey they are to take.
We are happy to take the time to go through how your goods are packed and advise if this is adequate.
We recommend wherever possible to palletise multiple shipments if they are travelling to the same consignee in order to minimise handling.
We can offer onsite packing and crating facilities and have crates made to measure and delivered to your premises for you to pack. You can also deliver freight in to our depot unpacked and we can pack for you here.
Many destinations now require any wood packing to be heat treated and stamped accordingly. Please ensure any packing you use complies to the countries rules the goods are being sent to in order to avoid any costly charges which may be incurred.
We always recommend our customers to take out insurance to cover the transportation of goods. This can normally be done through your own insurance broker as a yearly policy or alternatively we can offer insurance for each shipment we move therefore is you do not ship frequently enough to warrant a yearly policy this can be a more cost effective method. Using CNA Europe’s marine insurance allows us the flexibility to arrange immediate cover and print off insurance documents in house.
