Client - J. G. Shelton & Co. Ltd. is a family owned UK business which has been established since 1963. The company specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of cremator and incinerator products across the UK and abroad, providing expert knowledge and excellent customer service. The company has team of highly qualified and experienced engineers which have over 400 years of combined engineering experience.

The problem:

Terry Hawkins from J G Shelton’s contacted us to enquire about pricing up to move an incinerator (pictured) to Funchal Crematorium in Madeira.

The solution:

After discussing the Companies requirements we concluded that the best option would be to ship the cremator in a 20ft open topped container to allow the goods to be loaded by crane.
The freight was loaded at the customer’s premises and shipped on the Fred Olsen vessel direct to Funchal Quay.
Full marine insurance was organised by ourselves via CNA Europe’s online facility allowing us to insure and print out certificates at our offices for insurance for all types of goods.
Freight was cleared at port and then delivered on to Funchal’s crematorium where it was successfully unloaded and fitted within the time limits given.
